Searching Pulaski County Civil Dockets
Indiana MyCase gives free public access to non-confidential Odyssey case summaries plus selected documents. Pick Civil, Family, or Probate only when you already know the category. Otherwise run a broad Pulaski County search. A filer may not know whether Circuit or Superior took the case.
When MyCase comes up short, visit the Clerk counter or call 574-946-3313. You can also request records by mail. Email clerksoffice@pulaskicounty.in.gov works too. Confirmed fax is another route. Visitor hours run 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Eastern on weekdays. Address and fax details conflict across official sources, so confirm them before mailing anything. A county Public Access Request may help with general agency records. The office publishes no dedicated civil-certified-copy form or turnaround time, though.
- Open MyCase and select Pulaski County, then choose Civil, Family, Probate, or a broad category.
- Enter a cause number when known. Otherwise search the person, business, or attorney fields that match the filer.
- Compare court identifier, filing date, case type, party labels, and status across possible matches.
- Open the case summary and read the CCS events, settings, orders, disposition, and available documents.
- Ask the Clerk for an official file, certified judgment, transcript, older record, or missing public document.
Pulaski MyCase Civil and Probate Filters
MyCase splits its searches into person, business, and attorney. A person search starts from the last name, with first and middle names plus an optional birth date to narrow things down. Businesses and organizations get their own name field. Attorneys can be found by name or bar number. Sounds-like searching helps with odd spellings, but expect a wider result set in return.
| Search route | Best input | Pulaski check |
|---|---|---|
| Case | Cause number, with supported punctuation or leading zeros omitted if needed | Confirm 66C01 or 66D01 |
| Person | Last name, then first, middle, birth date, status, and file dates | Compare party role and filing date |
| Business | Organization name in the separate business field | Do not put it in the person-name boxes |
| Attorney | Attorney name or bar number, not both | Narrow results to Pulaski County |
A result set stops at 1,000. If your Pulaski query comes back that large, narrow it rather than assuming every matching filing made the list.
Inside a Pulaski County Civil Docket
The CCS is the core timeline. It can show a pleading, notice, motion, hearing, order, transfer, or judgment even when the document itself cannot be downloaded. Still, the official record is the court file, not the browser view.
| Case number | Uniform Indiana identifier such as 66D01-YYMM-SC-######, showing court, filing block, type, and sequence. |
|---|---|
| Parties | Public plaintiff, defendant, petitioner, respondent, organization, and attorney labels as allowed. |
| Filings | Complaints, petitions, answers, notices, returns, and other dated CCS entries. |
| Motions and settings | Requests, rulings, hearing dates, continuances, and scheduling events. |
| Disposition | Judgment, default, dismissal, transfer, or another published result. |
| Documents | Selected non-confidential orders and filings, subject to the access matrix and redaction. |
All Pulaski Small Claims Start in Superior
Local rules send every Pulaski small claim to Superior Court. So 66D01 and the SC case-type code are the first identifiers to check. The label does not put everything online. Exhibits, financial details, and protected attachments may stay off the public record. Read the current access matrix too.
Quick route: Select Pulaski County in MyCase, search the known cause number or party name, and confirm both 66D01 and SC before relying on the match.
The official sources state no Pulaski-specific civil dollar threshold. Do not borrow a limit from another county. Ask the Pulaski County Clerk or the court about eligibility, filing amount, or current procedure.
Civil Case Types on the Pulaski Docket
Civil work in Pulaski spans ordinary claims, property and debt matters, small claims, family cases, and probate-related proceedings. The two-character code helps separate records with similar party names. When names clash, the current case summary and court order control.
- CC, CT, PL, and MI: collection, tort, plenary, and miscellaneous civil cases.
- MF and EV: mortgage foreclosure and eviction matters.
- SC: small claims assigned to Pulaski Superior Court.
- DC, DN, and DR: family and domestic-relations groups, with access limits for protected content.
- GM, GU, estate, and trust codes: guardianship, probate, estate, and trust matters, searched with care because remote access varies.
- PO, TS, and TP: protection orders and tax sale or tax deed matters, each with distinct access or routing rules.
The public access matrix, not the broad word "civil," decides which non-confidential documents can appear remotely.
Pulaski Civil E-Filing Is Not Docket Search
Attorneys must file through Indiana's statewide electronic filing system in Pulaski trial courts. Self-represented users are encouraged but not required to e-file. A certified filing service provider sends documents to the court. MyCase, in turn, shows the public portion of Odyssey case information. Filing is not searching. Filing credentials do not create a public search shortcut.
The Indiana e-filing hub explains the filing system and user distinction.

The state hub links filers to rules and providers, while the public reads eligible docket events through MyCase. Tyler Technologies INcourts is one state-listed filing provider.

The provider screen is a filing workspace, not a Pulaski County civil docket database.
Pulaski Civil Docket Settings and Hearings
A civil CCS may list a hearing date, time, location, judge, and event type. Scheduling orders, conferences, motion hearings, trials, and continuances can stack several settings into one case. Always read the newest event. The first date you find may be stale.
Administrative Rule 9 requires a daily-calendar route unless access is limited. It can be electronic or another format. That route must show case number or caption, date, time, and location. MyCase is the practical public starting point, but the court posts no separate date-only Pulaski calendar. Check a Circuit setting with the Circuit administrator. Or take a Superior setting to the Superior administrator. The Clerk can help identify the file, and the full Pulaski County court-date process explains those channels.
Pulaski Civil Transfers and Refiled Cases
Matters with specific local assignments are different. Outside those, a civil filer may begin in either Circuit or Superior. A judge can transfer a case to balance workload. A refiled case normally returns to the original court unless venue changes. These rules have practical effects. A name search may surface a transfer event. Two related docket numbers should not be read as unrelated disputes.
Follow the transfer in the CCS rather than guessing from the current judge's name. Confirm the original and receiving court identifiers, the transfer order, and the newest case status. Appeals live in their own appellate records. An appeal event in the Pulaski CCS does not turn the Court of Appeals docket into a substitute for the county trial file.
Pulaski Civil Docket Access Rules
Indiana court records carry a presumption of accessibility, limited by privacy, safety, statute, and court rules. Domestic-relations, guardianship, adoption, mental-health, juvenile, protection-order, and confidential financial material can face tighter limits online or in person. A public event line may stay visible even when its document is withheld or redacted.
Key rules:
Access to Court Records Rule 4 identifies accessible court records and the indication of excluded material.
Access to Court Records Rule 5 lists entirely excluded categories.
Indiana Code 5-14-3-3 supplies the public-agency inspection and copying framework, subject to lawful exclusions and fees.
Anyone from the general public can request Pulaski County civil court records without explaining why. The county form simply wants the basics. Name the court. List the cause number if you know it. Describe the document and give a date range. Say whether you want to inspect the record or get a copy. Party access through an Indiana Courts code, and attorney access, can reveal more detail. Neither status changes that. No status expands or limits what any ordinary requester may obtain from the civil docket.
Requesting a Certified Pulaski Civil Judgment
Need a certified copy of a civil judgment? MyCase will not handle that. For a certified judgment, a judgment transcript, a lien transcript, or an older civil file, contact the unified Clerk and give the cause number plus the exact record you want. Pulaski County Ordinance 2024-06 sets $1.00 per legal or letter court-record page, and a partially written page counts as a full one. The state clerk resource lists $1.00 for a certificate under seal and $3.00 for a judgment transcript to lien. Confirm the current total with the Clerk before paying, since another component may apply.
Under Public Access Counselor guidance, inspection, search, and review cost nothing. Copies, certification, packaging, and shipping may carry fees. The Clerk posts no expedited fee, certified-copy total, payment method, or turnaround time, so ask first and keep a copy of your request. For a fuller walkthrough, see the Pulaski County court-record request page.
Pulaski Civil Access and Courthouse Accommodation
Courthouse visits are easier to arrange than people think. Need an accommodation for a civil hearing or a record inspection? Contact the county's ADA channel ahead of time. That office handles access to county facilities and services only. It cannot relax public-record restrictions or sway the merits of a civil case. The official Pulaski ADA notice identifies the local coordinator and accommodation context.

A little planning helps. Visitors can review civil records in person at the courthouse without changing how the Clerk's office handles its files.
What Pulaski Civil Statistics Can and Cannot Show
The Indiana Office of Court Services publishes trial and probation statistics, including provisional 2025 workbooks. Check the Pulaski County rows. Those files describe incoming, pending, and disposed civil case activity. They have limits. Statistics cannot replace a named case's CCS. They cannot point to a current hearing date or prove that every civil filing is downloadable. The official trial-statistics page explains the available workbooks and data status.

Treat the 2025 numbers as provisional until the annual Judicial Service Report becomes final. Use them only for county caseload context, not as settled figures about the Pulaski County civil docket.
